Neuropsychological Assessments For Children, Teens, And Adults

With Elliot Rayman, Ph.D.,

I’m a Ph.D. psychologist with a specialty in neuropsychological evaluations for ages 6+.

Has therapy, tutoring, or school support helped a little, but progress has stalled?

Is your child having trouble with reading, writing, attention, or school expectations?

Assessments can clarify ADHD, learning differences, executive functioning challenges, memory concerns, language issues, neurodivergence, and emotional patterns that affect school, work, and daily life.

A neuropsychological assessment explains what is happening and what kind of support will actually help.

Clients Come To Me For:

  • ADHD questions

  • Reading struggles

  • Learning differences

  • Executive functioning

  • Memory changes

  • Language concerns

  • Diagnostic clarification

  • Autism Spectrum diagnosis

  • Mood and personality concerns

  • IEP planning

  • Stalled progress

You may want diagnostic clarity, workplace accommodations, school support, or a precise understanding of what is getting in the way.

How My Neuropsychological Assessments Work

Neuropsychological evaluations examine cognitive, academic, and emotional functioning in a structured and systematic way. Each assessment is customized to the person, their concerns, and the questions we are trying to answer.

For adults, assessments may clarify longstanding difficulties, support academic or workplace accommodations, or provide insight into patterns that have persisted over time.

For children and adolescents, evaluations often inform school planning, IEPs, accommodations, and treatment recommendations.

Each evaluation includes a full written report and a feedback session. I take time to explain the results in a way that children, parents, or adults can understand and use. When helpful, I also collaborate with schools, physicians, therapists, and other providers so we can work as a team on the next steps.

What Goes Into an Evaluation

No two evaluations are the same. Depending on the referral question, I draw from several domains and combine them as needed, often pulling from most or all of them within a single evaluation.

With the right assessment, you can stop guessing and start making decisions with clearer information.

Neuropsychological Assessments
With Results

After an assessment, clients and families often report feeling clearer about what is happening and what to do next, including:

  • Diagnostic clarity

  • Clearer next steps

  • School recommendations

  • IEP support

  • Workplace accommodations

  • Better treatment planning

  • More self-understanding

A strong evaluation gives you more than scores. It gives you a practical map for support, treatment, school planning, and daily life.

About Elliot Rayman, Ph.D.

Hi, I’m Elliot Rayman, Ph.D.

I'm a psychologist with a specialty in neuropsychological evaluation for children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked across a range of settings, including schools, counseling centers, community mental health, hospitals, and group practices. This range has allowed me to understand how cognitive, learning, attention, and emotional concerns show up differently depending on someone's age, history, and environment, and I bring that breadth to every evaluation I do.

I have expertise in evaluating a wide range of presentations, including ADHD, learning differences, memory concerns, executive functioning difficulties, mood and personality patterns, and neurodivergence including autism spectrum profiles. As needed and appropriate, I also coordinate directly with caregivers, schools, and other psychological or medical providers, so the evaluation leads to support you can actually use.
