Samantha Vasquez, MSW, LCSW, OSW-C is a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker with advanced certification in Oncology Social Work. Samantha earned her Bachelor of Science from Universidad Central del Ecuador in Quito before pursuing higher education in New York, where she obtained her Master of Social Work (MSW) with a concentration in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University, Lincoln Center. She has worked with breast cancer patient support groups and pediatric medical units, including a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), where she provided psychotherapeutic support. For ten years, Samantha served at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital in the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, providing family-centered psycho-oncology care to children, adolescents, and young adults facing chronic and terminal illnesses. She offered emotional support, crisis counseling, psychotherapy, and resource management in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Samantha’s therapeutic approach is mindful, holistic, and strength-based, emphasizing the creation of a shared space for authentic self-expression where a genuine connection and robust therapeutic alliance are paramount. She works collaboratively with clients to establish a foundation of safety and trust that fosters personal growth. Her practice is psychodynamically oriented and integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative Therapy, solution-focused therapy, as well as meaning-making, trauma-informed, and person-centered approaches.
