Teen Therapy in NYC
Ages 12 - 18
We’re a team of 4 teen experts.
Parents often sense something is wrong, long before the teen can name it or realize it.
Is your teen withdrawn, irritable, or refusing to talk?
Are you noticing changes in grades, sleep or motivation?
Mood changes, interpersonal conflict, or risky behaviors can be signs of anxiety, depression, academic stress, identity struggles, or emerging mental health concerns. Early support makes a meaningful difference.
We help teens when they’re overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck in unhealthy patterns.
We Help Teens Struggling With:

Our Approach to
Teen Therapy
Our first priority is building trust - teens need to be respected, understood, and safe enough to show up honestly. Sessions are collaborative, not interrogative.
Therapy is tailored to each teen’s personality, identity, and developmental stage. We help teens make sense of their emotions, develop coping skills, and learn how to communicate more effectively. We also collaborate with parents, caregivers, schools, and other providers to support progress outside the therapy room.
Modalities We Use
-
Helps teens identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier responses to stress and emotion.
-
Supports teens in separating their identity from their struggles and reshaping the stories they tell about themselves.
-
Builds on strengths and momentum to create practical change in daily life.
-
Improves emotional awareness and reduces emotional and behavioral reactivity.
-
Aligns support at home while respecting the teen’s growing independence.
-
Therapy for neurodivergent individuals may require a specialized approach. Differences in executive functioning, emotional experience, communication, and sensory processing can require a therapeutic approach that is adapted to meet these needs. We have a deep understanding of neurodivergence and will work with you to tailor treatment to your needs.
