As a tutor, I prioritize meeting each student where they are in their educational journey. I believe that learning happens best in an environment where students feel safe, supported, and encouraged to take academic risks. By collaborating closely with each student, I help identify where struggles arise and tailor lessons to fit their unique needs and learning styles. While I specialize in executive functioning skills such as organization, planning, and task initiation, I take a holistic approach to education and support students across a wide range of subjects. These often include math, science, language arts, and social studies support. For older students, I also offer guidance with college applications, resume building, and interview preparation.
My background as a nanny, youth program coordinator, and camp counselor have deeply shaped my approach to learning. I value creativity, autonomy, and play and do my best to ensure my students feel empowered and engaged. I work to integrate students’ interests into our sessions to strengthen connection to the material and find enjoyment in the process. Whether we’re building study habits, writing essays, or managing time, I aim to help students develop lasting skills that will support them beyond the classroom.
I work with students of all ages, from early learners to college students, and adapt my support to each developmental stage. Together we focus on cultivating self-advocacy, confidence, and the executive functioning skills that form a strong foundation for long-term success. I look forward to working with you and your student through every stage of their academic journey!
