Our Patient Services
-
Therapy can help you find meaning in your connections with self and others. We take an integrative approach to psychotherapy in order to provide treatments that are tailored to your individual needs.
-
Emerging adulthood is a time of significant growth and change. Our work together can focus on exploring life choices such as higher education, career, and relationships.
-
We help children and adolescents identify healthy coping skills using a relational and strengths-based approach.
-
Utilizing an attachment-based and emotion-focused perspective, we help couples and families communicate more openly and directly with one another to foster healthier relationships.
-
Group treatment offers a unique opportunity to receive peer support, foster a sense of community, and learn from others’ experiences. We offer a variety of psychotherapy groups with different areas of focus.
-
We help our clients identify and tackle areas of specific difficulty using a team approach. An expert supervisor will assess specific areas of challenge and will develop a plan to help foster effective growth. Clients are then matched with a specialized tutor who will best fit their academic and executive functioning needs.
Meet the Founders
We are clinical psychologists who first met during our psychology internship training at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. We each worked and trained in a variety of settings, including hospital-based outpatient care, university counseling centers, community mental health clinics, and in our own private practices. We built Mind Matters with the idea that the current medical model has grown increasingly disconnected and that our patients deserve more. We are committed to providing a homebase for our patients, where providers listen carefully and work collaboratively to effectively address your specific needs. In short, our vision for Mind Matters grew out of the need for a more collaborative and interdisciplinary team-based approach to mental health care.
Having both worked in private practice, hospital settings, schools and university settings, we are uniquely positioned to create a therapeutic program with a highly specialized, team-based and tailored approach for individuals across the life span.
